The layout of the Slates view is divided in multiple columns.

1. The Slate Pane (visible when slided open) shows a list of all your slates;
2. The Main Vertical Bar (MVB) holds the buttons for the main Slate categories (Main, Cameras, Takes, Ref, Summary);
3. The Ticket that lists all values for the selected slate and category;
4. The Input Area (large display for values and input calculator) is where you add and edit your data by use of the input calculator or keyboard.
