Basic Navigational Principles
Setellite was designed with speed in mind: the reality of moving around from setup to setup on a (film)set can be stressful and demanding to any vfx-supervisor/wrangler trying to collect all essential data that ensures an information-rich and smooth post-production follow-up. We found that these demands for speed and efficiency translate best into the following navigational principles:
- Defining and using presets to prevent re-entering the same data again and again
- Easy duplication of (already) existing data
- Offering templates to act as a thorough basis to draw new slates from
- Large input interface
'Form View' (iPad portrait mode)
Setellite features a useful 'overview' mode when you rotate your iPad from landscape to portrait: all Main, Camera, Take and Reference info is displayed in one view. Data can be entered and edited, a small version of the Input Calculator is featured at the bottom of the screen. Think of the portrait mode as a form laid out on a single sheet of paper.
All principles that apply to the logic and purpose of the fields are the same whether you work in landscape or portrait mode.
On-screen help
In some occasions, Setellite will guide you with the aid of on-screen suggestions.
