Overview
Under Slates you enter and manage all data Setellite collects. This logic is build around the system of slates and takes used as a filmmaking standard throughout the world. European and American systems may differ, but Setellite supports both workflows.
The basic structure Setellite uses is as follows (fictional example):
As you can see in the diagram, any slate can hold multiple cameras, takes and references. For each take, cameras can be identified (limited to the cameras of that slate) as recording cameras. We call these ‘Take Cameras’. Depending on the set up, just one camera can be a recording camera up to all cameras connected to the slate. Logic dictates that at least one camera is always involved in recording a take.
